enough by the brown one? a high definition roof camera here at -- i'm sorry east bay camera. we were going to show you the roof camera but this is more exciting from the east bay looking at the western sky. a lot of interesting celestial objects in view tonight on this clear evening. hoer is what was happening this afternoon. clear skies along the coast because we had the strong flow of northwesterly winds sweeping away any clouds giving us clear skies but cool conditions and strong gusty earlier in the day. right now, gusts up to 38 miles about per hour at sfo. 20 at half moon bay. 20 santa rosa. all the other locations reporting much calmer winds than the last several hours. temperature readings in the 50s around the bay. and a few low 60s in our inland locations. it will be clear and a breezy overnight. windy and cool for the next two days and a slight chance of showers on friday. a very unlate spring like conditions. late may like conditions. here is the setup on the satellite radar composite giving us the windy conditions. the winds are rather brisk and forceful. and we have got

the browns went down. father brian in the cockpit telling his wife and daughter i don't think we are going to make it. somehow they did. spending entire night 15 hours in the low freezing white how the conditions. windshield smashed. own blood on the doo door. >> okay. get up and walk around. my head is split open pretty gishtion fire captain from northern california usually it's brian doing the rescuing. this time his family needed help. daughter heather had pelvic injuries. mother jay ann injured her head and back. >> how is the weather? where you are at. >> snow. >>reporter: they stayed calm. starting a fire with the plane fuel ceiling off the cabin to keep warm. medical helicopter spotted the wreckage but to get to the family, ground crew had to trek through 6 foot snow drift down 60 degree mountain slopes. >> it was slick. wet. icey. everything you don't want to have finally family hoisted 1 by 1 to safety above. >> they were very lucky. >> lucky and tonight thankful. to be in a hospital recooperat recooperateing together. abc news, los angeles. >> really incredible. co
